You have probably heard of the World Famous, Brazilian Blowout smoothing treatment, somewhere. Most people assume this is just an over the top blow dry service, which is absolutely not the case.
A Brazilian Blowout is a luxury smoothing treatment, using break-through bonding technology to improve the over-all condition of your hair. With this being a luxury service, we charge $150 for this service. Now, going back to what I said earlier about the assumptions of this service, we would never ever charge $150 for a blow dry!
The perfect candidate for this type of service is someone with frizzy, dry, and unmanageable hair! The treatment creates a protective protein layer around the hair shaft, eliminating frizz and smoothing the hair’s cuticle.
Brazilian Blowouts are very time consuming services. You start off by clarifying the hair not just once, but TWICE with the Brazilian Blowout clarifying shampoo. Then once you get your client back to the chair, you then apply the BB solution to every 1/4 inch section all over the head. Less is more with this product. Using too much of the solution can make the solution not take into the hair, making the service a bust. After you finish putting the solution on all of the hair, you then blow dry the whole head 100% dry with a boar bristle round brush. The reason we use a boar bristle brush is because the boar bristles help smooth the cuticle of the hair. After you finish blow drying, you need to straighten the guests hair with a titanium plate smoothing iron. I usually do 8-12 passes on each section depending on the level of frizz my guest had when they came in. After that is done, the most heart breaking part of the service happens, you have to go back to the shampoo bowl and rinse your client for 2-5 minutes. After you rinse, you spray your client down with the Brazilian Blowout Ionic Bonding Spray. After this, take your client back to the chair and blow dry again with the same boar bristle brush and straighten again. After you have done all of this, the service is complete and you are left with smooth, and moisturized hair. With the proper take home care and maintenance your Brazilian Blowout can last 3-6 months!
