Meet Kelsey

For Kelsey Bixenman, doing hair has always been about more than the service itself—it’s about the way people feel when they sit in her chair and the confidence they carry with them when they leave. She was drawn to the beauty industry nineteen years ago by her love for helping others feel better about themselves and the joy that comes from seeing someone smile because they like what they see in the mirror. That purpose, paired with the flexibility her career offers, is what made her stay in this industry. Being able to show up for her children and attend their events means everything to her, and she’s grateful to have built a career that supports both her family and her passion..

In the salon, Kelsey thrives when she’s working with color. She enjoys all aspects of it, from subtle enhancements to more transformative looks, and also finds a lot of joy in cutting hair. While she has experience with nails and facials, she’s discovered that hair is where her true passion lives. Her time behind the chair is a balance of being chatty and focused—clients can expect a welcoming, engaging atmosphere paired with thoughtful attention to detail.

What Kelsey hopes most, is that every person who sits in her chair leaves feeling happier, more confident, and more themselves than when they arrived. Over time, many of her clients have become more than just appointments on her schedule—they’ve become part of her extended family. Those long-standing relationships are something she treasures deeply, and they’re a big reason she loves coming to work each day.

One thing clients may not realize at first is just how knowledgeable Kelsey is when it comes to artificial hair. Her expertise allows her to guide clients with honesty and care, always keeping their best interests in mind. No matter the service, she’s consistent in the little things—offering a drink, a blanket if someone is cold at the sink, and always having a thorough conversation about the haircut so expectations are clear and results feel just right.

Outside of the salon, Kelsey’s heart is with her three boys—Ty, Rush, and Kix—and her boyfriend, JT. Whether they’re hunting, traveling, or simply spending time together, family is at the center of her world. What fills her cup at work is knowing she helped someone feel better, paired with the laughter and connection she shares with her coworkers along the way.
